We are lucky enough to have the support and blessing of both our families and friends in our decision to adopt. Our families play a big part of our lives. One promise to the birth mother is that our baby will be surrounded with family and friends that continuously express sentiments of love and support.

Omar comes from a family that consists of one older brother and one younger sister and has a supportive and loving mother. My oldest brother Edgar has two wonderful children, Brianna (7 years) and Leonardo (2 years). My sister Krisvell is currently finishing her Masters degree in Education. My mother is a Program Coordinator working for UCSD and SDSU and works very closely with the Latino community.

Arturo comes from a big family that consists of 4 sisters and 1 older brother and a great mom. His oldest sister Leonor has 3 children and they all live in California. The second oldest sister Maria Elena is very happily married and works for social services in California. The third sister Esperanza lives in Los Angeles and has two wonderful children, Joerik and Christian. The youngest sister Aurora is happily married with 5 children three of which play in their junior high band and the oldest daughter Alexza is married and has three wonderful kids, David, Aiyanna and Erik. Combined, Arturo has 9 nephews and nieces, 4 great nephews and 4 great nieces.
